"Three years ago, my wife and I decided to completely renovate our kitchen. Based on discussions with several neighbors who had used them, and after looking at the work they had done, we were very impressed with a local firm, Nicely Done Kitchens and Bathrooms. After contacting them, we began working with one of their professional designers, Dona Thewes. She listened closely to our ideas, gave us attractive options, and helped us with everything from layout, options for cabinets and appliances, to flooring and color schemes. A significant problem was the nationwide backlog for cabinets and appliances. Dona followed up on our order and kept us up to date throughout the process. Once tear out and construction started, our project supervisor, Scott, brought in skilled craftsmen in the various trades, coordinated their work, and essentially kept us involved in the process. The workers were uniformly pleasant, professional and helpful. Cleanup at the end of each workday left the site orderly and ready for the next day’s work. At one point, after installation of the combined oven and microwave, we found that the height of the microwave in the cabinet was too high for easy use. Together with Dona and Scott, we came up with a good fix and Scott personally came in to execute the alterations, which turned our great. We were thrilled with the finished kitchen and continue to enjoy it every day. We have received numerous compliments from family and friends as to the design, functionality and overall appearance. The finished kitchen is just exactly what we were hoping for. We recently had a realtor look at the house to give us a rough appraisal of its market value. She was extremely impressed with the kitchen and noted that it added significantly to the value of the house—more than we had paid for the installation.

At several points during construction, we were called by James, the owner of Nicely Done Kitchens, to discuss progress and to ensure that we were satisfied. The personal involvement at all levels within the company was impressive and it certainly showed in the quality of the finished product. She was as excited for the renovation as we were and was creative when it came to items we wanted to incorporate (an electric fireplace on the dining room wall and a specific look/feel to our split-level staircase) and we always felt we had a listening ear and someone in our corner at every decision point.

Working with Doña on our kitchen remodel made for a seamless process that was so much easier than we expected! She developed a design that incorporated all of our requests, was very patient as we made tweaks and helped advise on our selections to create the aesthetic that we were looking for. She was truly a pleasure to work with, and we couldn't be happier with the results!

Even with new appliances, our kitchen was looking sad due to its original cabinets from 1972. So it was time to change! We had heard about Nicely Done Kitchens for a few years now and decided to go in & get an estimate. Our first meeting with our designer, Cathy Goss, set the superb tone for the rest of the project. In getting an idea of what we wanted for our townhouse kitchen, she carefully went through the various options available while taking all of our questions through each step. When the time came in for the actual measuring, Cathy checked and re-checked each. We reviewed the proposal in a process that was pretty painless. We were introduced to Alexandria as our Project Manager who went through her role, the time allocated, and what to expect. While we faced some delays not by Nicely Done Kitchens but with the actual cabinets due to COVID and the supply chain, Alexandria kept us fully informed and worked with us to prepare us for the installation’s daily timeline. We can’t say enough about Brian our installer who worked smoothly with the plumbers and electricians to give us basically…a totally new kitchen. It was completed on-time, on cost, and with constant evaluation by the great staff at Nicely Done Kitchens. Their focus is always on your new kitchen and would always & easily recommend them. The project crew, including Alexandria Zaldivar, provided timely responses to our questions, and the workmanship and materials are exceptional.

My family is delighted with our new kitchen remodel from Nicely Done Kitchens and Bath. Cathy was our designer, what a wonderful eye for design and detail. Cathy is a dream to work with in understanding color preferences, special needs for the kitchen (like hiding our large recycle bin but making it accessible), keeping it light in case we sell the house in the few years. We are still waiting on our flooring which is from another vendor (Covid delay) and backordered stove which isn't the fault of NDKB. I'm a website designer and I recognize good design - Cathy is fantastic. Trust her instincts, they are spot on.

Nicely done kitchens re-modeled my master bathroom and powder room and did an extraordinary job. Working with Cathy and Olivia at Nicely Done Kitchens was a blast, as they always had great ideas to help shape and bring my vision to life (it was like they could read my mind and knew exactly what I wanted after I said Just a few words). If I ever had an issue with the job or A question I could ask Cathy and Olivia for help and it would be addressed immediately. The crew they hired to work on the bathrooms was super nice, respectful of my place, on time, did immaculate work, and always cleaned up after themselves. The final products speak for themselves, and I would gladly recommend and work with Nicely Done Kitchens and Baths again (and probably will).

Renovations are stressful. Kitchens renovations are really stressful but Kate Couchman and the team at NDK are pros and they made this experience as pleasant as a kitchen renovation can get. We did our due diligence and obtained multiple quotes. Frankly, cost was not why we chose the team at NDK. Unless you are a do it yourselfer or plan to act as the general contractor, the costs associated with a project like a kitchen or bath tend to be relatively similar when you compare bids from similar outfits like NDK. What set them apart was the human factor of the team. Kate Couchman, Olivia Kwon, Steve Endress and their team made the difference and made our experience so painless. Kate is a gifted designer who brought our vision to life while staying on budget. Olivia managed the project insuring deadlines were met, deliveries were on time, and followed up to insure we were pleased with the delivery of our kitchen. Steve Endress and his team of skilled craftsman were on time and took pride in their work to insure all aspects of the renovation were done to perfection. Simply put, if you are planning a kitchen or bath renovation get a quote from Kate and the team at NDK. We did and we have a gourmet kitchen, powder room, and pantry to enjoy for years to come and we wouldn’t change a thing. Thanks NDK !!!!

I’m writing to highly recommend Kate Couchman and Olivia Kwon at Nicely Done Kitchens and Steve Endress and his able construction crew. My old kitchen had dark cabinets that didn’t go to the ceiling, pink tile floor, backsplash with pictures of fruit, and little natural light. Kate spent hours with me, helping me decide on a new open layout, stunning white cabinets, satin nickel cabinet pulls, spectacular Silestone Quartz countertops, Brizo faucet and Insta hot. She is knows every aspect of designing a new kitchen, she was obviously delighted to help me. Olivia managed the project once the work started. She maintained the schedule so the job would be completed on time. One night recently, after dark, she brought supplies that the crew needed the next day. Her actions are kind and thoughtful. Steve Endress has a calm, confident, reassuring presence with a lifetime of experience. When, in the middle of the project, I asked if I could add new heat/air registers, refinish the stairs, he said “sure.” And most importantly, he hires a great crew, and then treats them well. Caesar and Jose demolished my old kitchen in one long day. They were careful, and I was able to sell the old cabinets, countertops, appliances. They left the space CLEAN! Caesar also spackled and painted. I’ve hired a lot of painters in the past. Caesar is the best spackler I’ve experienced. After a wall is painted, it looks flawless. Wes, our plumber, installed the faucets, dishwasher and gas plumbing. Before he left, he explained what he did and gave me his business card. He said he was confident that he did a good job, but if there were any issues with gas or water, I should call him. (I didn’t need to call!) When, after a few days, my Insta Hot wouldn’t turn off, he determined that the part was faulty, installed new one, and called later that night to be sure everything was ok. Leo and Luis installed a new, beautiful oak floor in the kitchen, and they stripped and refinished the floors in the dining room, back room, foyer and stairs to the second floor. My floors are perfect. The 65-year old floors look new, and new and old match perfectly. Leo sings happily at the top of his lungs as he kneels and does back breaking work. It was a joy to have him in my house. Nate, the electrician, is able and knowledgeable. He made a lot of changes to accommodate my new kitchen, and he helped us figure out some of the old wiring that was confusing. James and Travis installed my cabinets and appliances, and James installed all of the floor and ceiling trim. It looks beautiful. They both gave me helpful pointers on my new drawers. Juan measured and then cut the quartz countertops. They are the icing that pulls it all together. Joe Hilferty at ADU in Chantilly, opened the showroom just for me, and he spent hours explaining and helping me pick all new appliances.When the refrigerator door arrived dented, and he said, “it’s under warranty! I’ll get you a new one.” After the kitchen was finished, he came TO MY HOUSE and gave me pointers on each appliance. He is a special man. Buy your appliances from him! My kitchen is now the beautiful focal point in my house. I feel incredible JOY and happiness when I am in it. I am so lucky to have met Kate, Olivia, Steve, Joe and the team.

I'm a little late putting in a review. We had Nicely Done Kitchens revamp our kitchen. Our Kitchen was original to our 1970's town home and they were able to redesign, tear down and re install everything at the height of Covid lock downs. Dona and Olivia were so helpful and responsive with all our needs and concerns. They were also very respectful of Covid guidelines by only letting 1 to 2 contractors into our home at a time to minimize every ones exposure. Which I can only imagine how much extra scheduling that put on their part. They did such a lovely job and I absolutely love using my new kitchen! 10/10 would use and recommend again!

After 12 years of daydreaming and pinning pictures of what I wanted in a kitchen, Nicely Done got it done for us and we're thrilled with the outcome! There was no pressure to upsell us on things we didn't want and there were no surprises or hidden costs, and they came up with creative solutions when our old house threw us some structural surprises. Very pleased with the whole process.

We have the kitchen of our dreams thanks to Nicely Done Kitchens and our designer, Dona! After two decades of living with our klunky kitchen, we knew we wanted to not only update, but improve the functionality and flow when we decided to remodel. The attention to detail, design and craftsmanship were impeccable. We couldn’t be more pleased with our experience and results.

I needed to replace my kitchen counter top, sinks, and faucets, as well as add a tile back splash, and decided to contact Nicely Done Kitchens after seeing they were recommended on Angie's List. It was a relatively small job (we weren't replacing the cabinets, appliances, or floors), but we wanted professional help rather than doing the work ourselves. I worked with one of Nicely Done's kitchen designers who came up with some great solutions, such as granite composite sinks and faucets I never would have found on my own. Another employee served as the project manager, and she was totally organized and professional. The work was done when she said it would be done, and the quality was impeccable! My husband and I love our new kitchen, and we highly recommend this company. The cost was reasonable, and the two women who worked with us made the process as painless and worry-free as possible.

I am beyond impressed with the detail, craftsmanship and management of Nicely Done. The attention to detail, design support, communication, value...we love our new kitchen and would recommend this company to anyone. We had to trust the process and NDK because we started our remodel remotely from overseas and could not have been more pleased. A big shout out to our designer Doña. She made herself available at all odd hours to accommodate the time difference. She took excellent care of us and suggested fabulous ideas within our budget and exactly what we wanted. Olivia is an expert project manager often showing up to ensure everything was meeting her expectations. We are coming back soon for a bathroom remodel. Excellent experience. Highly recommend!

We've had the pleasure of using NDK for our kitchen remodel 10 years ago and more recently 2 bathrooms. We loved working with them! The process was very organized from planning to completion. We loved our designer, Kate, who has a wonderful eye for color and design and listens to your needs and creates a beautiful design. Our contractor and his team were a delight to work with. Our master bath has become a wonderful calming retreat!

Nicely Done Kitchen (NDK) and Bath did an outstanding job on our kitchen/first-floor remodel; a complete transformation! Kate is an excellent designer. Steve (Job Supervisor) and his work crew are trustworthy and customer-oriented professionals. The entire remodel process is clear and straightforward. We were demanding customers and NDK exceeded our expectations. We are very happy with the final result.

What I like best: The impressive quality achieved by a meticulous design phase followed by a tightly-monitored building and assembly process. The results were truly stunning. How I felt about working with Nicely Done Kitchens: I loved the comfort and security of working with a company that not only involved me in every aspect of the design phase, but delivered on its promise of total, worry-free project management. Once the tearout and construction started, there were no delays in meeting the milestones spelled out in the schedule. (Some of the milestones even described the time of day an event would occur.) The teams always arrived as listed in the schedule. I was also impressed that the company has project managers who monitor the project and visit the site regularly. I never had to make a phone call to ask what would happen next—or when. I also enjoyed working with Doña, a brilliant designer whose judgment I came to respect and value. Nicely Done Kitchens clearly sets high standards for itself.
